War veterans chairman, Christopher Mutsvangwa has come out guns blazing in support of Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Zimbabwe Defence Forces Commander General Constantine Chiwenga following Higher and Education minister Jonathan Moyo's attack of the duo last week.

Mutsvangwa described Chiwenga and Mnangagwa as tried and tested leaders and accused Moyo feigning loyalty to Mugabe. He said Chiwenga commanded the army Mnangagwa helped create.

He said Moyo was the least qualified Zimbabwean to talk about Zanu-PF succession.

He labelled him a "war deserter and a thief" who is not qualified to comment on succession issues as he fled at the height of the liberation struggle to further his studies in imperialist countries.
