A couple raped in Harare

TWO lovers were raped and sodomised by unknown assailants at an open space between Kuwadzana and Crowborough on Tuesday evening.
The lovers were walking along a footpath between 5pm and 6pm when they were confronted by the two assailants.
Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector James Sabau said: "The two assailants were coming from the opposite direction and one of them grabbed the woman while the other grabbed her fiancé."
He said the woman was dragged into a nearby bush while her fiancé was forced marched to the opposite direction.
"The other suspect raped the woman while the other one was busy sodomising her fiancé," Insp Sabau said.
After sodomising the man, the assailant went on to rape the woman before ordering the lovers to leave the scene.
A report was made to the police.
