Fidel Castro steals from drunk friend

A Mutare based soldier - Fidel Castro Mambo aged 31 allegedly took advantage of his drunk friend and stole cellphone and cash from his friend all valued at $1 257.
He is in police custody till December 8.
Mutare magistrate, Yeukai Chigodora heard that Mambo hooked up with his friend Coventry Kapunza at Mhaka Shops in Yeovil where they started drinking beer.
That was in October.
"Mambo took advantage that Kapunza was getting drunk and searched him.
"He stole a Samsung S5 and a wallet which had $480 cash, a driver's licence and bank cards from Kapunza's pocket. He disappeared after committing the offence," the court heard.
Thereafter, the phone was sold but was later recovered from Moses Manzunzu.
Manzunzu revealed that he bought the cellphone from Mambo.
Mambo said he was not a thief and he was framed.
