MDC-T treasurer for Mazowe North district who died on Tuesday 29th of November due to short illness has been laid to rest at Mvurwi GMB cemetery today (Friday)
Dorothy Gidhara (52) was finally laid to rest by her party members assisted by Salvation Army church. She is survived by four children.
Addressing mourners in Mvurwi MDC T youth provincial chairman Tonderai Samhu described Gidhara as a gallant hero who rose through the ranks and was a victim of 2008 political violence perpetrated by ZANU PF.
"As MDC we have lost a gallant hero who wanted to see change in Zimbabwe and she rose through the ranks due to endurance.
She was a victim of ZANU PF grave political violence in 2008 at Mvurwi base but she never surrendered up to the time of her death," lamented Samhu.
Among the mourners were MDC-T national representative Gilbert Kagodora, Mashonaland Central provincial members George Gwarada, Fanuel Chigonero and Tonderai Samhu.
Salvation Army Mvurwi Corps has lost two key political figures within a month after they buried ZANU PF Mashonaland Central province vice chairman Richard Chanda on 6 November.
