A political commentator Pedzisai Ruhanya has said President Robert Mugabe must today first address the state of the President (himself) instead of addressing the state of the nation (SONA) in the view that his age and health is of paramount concerns to the nation.

Mugabe is today addressing parliament and the nation at large on the state of the nation amid concerns that he is the one causing serious crisis in the country by over staying in power.

"It could be necessary for President Mugabe today to address the State of the President first before he talks about the state of the nation," Ruhanya posted on Facebook.

@harumutasa tweeted: "#Zimbabwe President Mugabe gives state of the nation address today. Will he talk abt real issues ppl face or stick to sanctions rhetoric?"

"today President Robert Mugabe delivers the State of the Nation Address. Would be nice if he gave us the State of the President address too," said another Twitter user @fingerray.

@tinashechipenyu said "We all know the State of the Nation address will be a load of twaddle ,as always. Not holding my breath."

@_Dingz also said: "Bob will probably tell us about the success of the Bond Notes and tell us we have defeated the imperialists."
