Zanu PF has reportedly imported over 200 cars from South Africa in preparation for the 2018 elections campaigns at the time when the country's economy is bleeding and is at the verge of collapse.

An MDC-T official Chalton Hwende claimed to have seen the cars amid concerns that the ruling party is heartlessly not concerned about the welfare of the people but is concerned about holding on to power at all costs at the expense of the poor citizens.

"I saw the new cars that Zanu PF imported from South Africa for the 2018 Campaign. I saw two car carriers with about 12 vehicles but reports say that they have imported over 200 vehicles. Obviously the bond notes are the source of funding but what does it mean for the opposition?" Hwende said.

"Without resources Zanu PF will win again thanks to you and me we expect Morgan Tsvangirai and the opposition to do miracles and remove Zanu PF from power using their own personal resources whilst we are busy insulting the opposition on social media. If we all contribute just a $1 each we can remove this regime. If you have a second hand car or anything that any opposition party of your choice can use call them and donate to them."

He said democracy is not cheap 2018 will be won by a party that will be able to mobilise the young vote and resources.

"Think about it and pick up a call to any of the opposition party that you think has the capacity to remove Robert  Mugabe and donate just a $1," he said.
