BREAKING: Chaos at Beitbridge as SA immigration paralyse processing of travellers

There are reports that there is chaos at the Beitbridge Border Post between Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Information we are getting suggests that the South African immigration officials are on strike and this has paralysed the processing of travellers.
Usually during this time of the year, Beit Bridge Border Post handles a huge volume of southbound traffic and an increase in the number of travellers entering South Africa from Zimbabwe. Most of the travellers are Zimbabweans based in South Africa, who will be returning to work after spending the Christmas holiday at home with their families.
Some unhappy travellers from South Africa have been opting to travel through Plumtree to avoid Beitbridge.
During public holidays the border becomes a chaotic mix of motorists, buses and trucks.
There has not been any word from the South Africa officials on the alleged strike by its officials.
