BAZ's existence a joke

MDC-T says all right thinking Zimbabweans who want to see a better Zimbabwe with respect for human rights, freedom of speech, association and expression etc ought to rally behind Settlement Chikwinya in making sure that the BAZ is dissolved and the licences awarded by the illegal board are withdrawn and a fresh process begun which is transparent.
Mbizo MP, Honourable Settlement Chikwinya moved the motion in Parliament to nullify the continued existence of 'the joke' called the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ).
MDC-T says its leader Morgan Tsvangirai is on record bemoaning the continued existence of this 'illegal' board which is busy issuing radio station licences only to those who are pro Zanu PF.
The MDC urges all freedom loving people to stop this and other forms of madness come election time.
The MDC therefore dismisses the awarding of the two free to air licences by the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) to Zimpapers and Supa Mandiwanzira's AB Communications as a political farce.
The BAZ should be urgently re-constituted if we are to see genuine liberalisation of the airwaves.
Zimbabweans need a plural and diverse media so that the hard-working citizens of this country can make well - informed choices.
