Man claimed by 3 'wives'

A CITY man is in trouble with three women who claim to be his wives.

Oscar Tapera approached the civil court seeking for a protection order against his wife Makaita Rugara and on another separate case Millicent Muzengi and Belinda Mandudzo applied for peace order against each other over their alleged husband Tapera.

Through his legal representative Tapera told the court that Makaita abuses him through text messages and phone calls.

"Makaita insults me through text messages and sometimes she phones me to insult me so I need to be protected against her verbal abuse," he said.

Makaita opposed Tapera's application and she informed the court that Tapera is fabricating allegations against her since he is planning to get married to another woman.

"I am opposed to this application because firstly I am his wife and we got married customarily but now he is staying with another woman.

"The issue here is that he is staying with another woman and they are planning to wed so he thinks that I might disturb their wedding so he fabricated all these lies so that he can protect his upcoming wedding," she said.

Presiding magistrate Yeukai Dzuda postponed the matter to today to allow Oscar to provide the text messages as proof to show that he was insulted by Makaita since she was denying the accusations.

On another case Millicent applied for a peace order against Belinda whom she alleges that she insults her over Oscar.

"She insults me because of Oscar and she is the one who is staying with him and they are planning a wedding.

"I am customarily married to Oscar and I am pregnant for him," she said.

Belinda also applied for a peace order against Millicent alleging that she verbally abuses her.

Magistrate Dzuda granted Belinda and Millicent the application for peace order against each other and both of them were ordered to observe peace with each other at all cost.
