A Hwange man has been slapped with an effective 8 years in jail for raping a 12 year old girl after luring her to his residency. where he raped her
Tonderai Mlambo pleaded guilty to the charges when he appeared before Hwange Regional Magistrate Dambudzo Malunga. The magistrate convicted and sentenced him to 10 years in jail. Two years were suspended for five years on condition of good behavior.
The court was told that between February 1 and 28 this year Mlambo met the girl at Makwika village and proposed love to her. The girl accepted and he lured her ho his home where he raped her. The matter came to light when the girl's aunt discovered that the girl had wounds on her private and she declared that Mlambo had been abusing her.
