Crisis Coalition in Zimbabwe official Dumisani O Nyongolo Nkomo has said the organisation condemns in the strongest terms the remarks by a human rights activist Linda Masara who said Ndebeles are cowards.
"Crisis Coalition unequivocally and unreservedly condemns in the strongest terms possible the statement by a delegate at its meeting in Harare insinuating that the Ndebele people are cowards and suffer from collective inferiority complex," Nkomo said.
"The statement does not represent the position of the Coalition and its members .The statement in no way reflects the ethos ,values and principles of the Coalition which include non discrimination ,justice and equality .We condemn tribalism and all forms of discrimination."
Nkomo said the Coalition continues to call for a Truth and Justice Process around the Gukurahundi issue ,balanced national development ,gender equality and recognition of the diversity of the Zimbabwean nation.
"In pursuit of this the Coalition has resolved to devolve its operations to the various regions of the country with each region carrying identifying key priorities and activities .The Coalition is also strengthening its footprint in the Southern African region where thousands of Zimbabweans reside and have legitimate struggles ,concerns and aspirations," he said.
