MDC-T has geared up their biometric voting system awareness campaign in Mashonaland Central province and on Friday they held a youth and women forum at Nzvimbo growth point in Chiweshe, Mazowe Central district.

The colourful event was supported by provincial members and two national members who encouraged supporters to register in the upcoming biometric voting system.

Addressing supporters national member Nobert Dokotera said MDC T supporters should take courage and register to vote despite the intimidation and vote buying being perpetrated by the ruling ZANU PF.

"As the MDC-T we should not fear any intimidation we have come a long way and victory is near, the biometric voting system which is expected to commence in April is our chance to remove this rotten regime.

We know vote buying is in progress and do not be bothered about being deprived of a cup of brown rice that rice is not even good for our health how can you sell the country for a cup of rice or little inputs," said Dokotera.

Among the speakers was Mashonaland Central youth chairman Tonderai Samhu, Mazowe Central chairman Tafadzwa Murwira and Patience Chigwande who all encouraged people to register and vote for MDC-T  in the forth coming elections.

There was drama at the rally after Zim PF member Edison Musiiwa testified that he was one of the perpetrators of violence under ZANU PF ticket and begged for forgiveness and was supposedly baptised in the name of MDC T by Chiweshe prophet Morgan.

"I am here as a member of Zim PF and  very sorry to tell you that l was one of the ZANU PF thugs who tormented and killed people around Mashonaland Central please forgive me, let us now join hands to remove ZANU PF.

How can we continue being ruled by a nonagenarian no enough is enough l thank you!" bellowed Musiiwa.

Tonderai Samhu ordered him to repent in the name of the MDC and there was ululation and hullaballoo after his baptism.
