Mthwakazi Republic Party has welcome the formation of a new political party by former National Healing Minister Moses Mzila Ndlovu.
Ndlovu announced the formation of a new party on Friday.
"Yesterday we worked up to the news of yet another political party being launched in the city of Kings and Queens, this time around it was ANSA which is now led by Former Minister in the government of national unity. In as much as we understand that ANSA stands for regionalism as opposed to Restoration, we actually appreciate that it is a step in the right direction in as far as our struggle for self determination as Mthwakazi people is concerned," said Mbonisi Gumbo the MRP spokesperson.
"While others think that it is wrong for Mzila to launch yet another party, we in MRP believes it is their constitutional right to do so and still the Mthwakazi's political space is big enough for all of us. We believe it has been long overdue for Mzila to enter the Mthwakazi politics, we believe his past experience and exposure will help to promote our cause for self determination internationally."
"We respect Cde Mzila and we also respect Mr Dlamini the former CEO in Plumtree who is now working with Former Minister Mzila. Both of them helped us when we were working at Makuzeze primary and we hope to continue to work together with them and the rest of ANSA leadership, our initial concern was that Former Minister Mzila wanted to form a Bukalanga party now that he has himself announced that he understands that in Mthwakazi we are one , we embrace them and their ideology (njengoba besithi, akwaziwa okwanonisa ingulube, lathi asazi okuzakhulula uMthwakazi)," he added.
He said what is important for them to continue working in unity and play our part while we agree to disagree peacefully as we much towards Mthwakazi Restoration.
"It would be of great importance to tolerate each other's views and chosen path. We hope to work with ANSA soon as we are yet to fully understand what they intend to do hopefully Professor Welshman Ncube and Dr Dumiso Dabengwa will understand that our problems as Mthwakazi does not need what they call Nationalism, it now needs a pure and clear distinction between Zimbabwean politics and ours because our problems are not the same," he said.
