We need birth certificates: Street kids
Scores of street children from in and around the city of Harare were treated to an early Christmas luncheon by Minister of State for Harare Metropolitan province Miriam Chikukwa.
It was a day to remember for the homeless people who live in the streets as they were treated to an early Christmas feasting through music and dance.
Some of their concerns included the facilitation of birth certificates.
Some of them are now in their 40s without any birth documentations and national identity cards.
An official in the ministry Nathaniel Madzivanyika said they saw it prudent to host the street kids and other less privileged children in society.
Chikukwa urged the corporate world to assist and remember the under privileged this festive season.
As we celebrate this Christmas which is associated with giving it is necessary to give a hand to the disadvantaged members of the society.
