Cops arrest 8 touts in Mash Central

Eight kombi touts were arrested in Mvurwi Mashonaland Central province yesterday (Tuesday) in police bid to curb touting.
Sources close to investigations confirmed the arrest and said there is an operation being carried out by Mvurwi police under the theme (No to Touts) so as to bring sanity and free movement of passengers in town.
"We arrested eight touts who are set to appear before Guruve magistrate today.
"These touts cause instability in passenger movement and they end up stealing for them," said the source.
The operation started yesterday and will end on 3 January 2017.
Many people resort to crime during the festive season and police is on the watchful eye on crime.
A survey by Bulawayo24.com proved that police in Mvurwi is compiling a list of all wanted people inserting them on notice boards and road blocks to apprehend them.
