Two suspects escape at charge office

There was shock on Thursday as two suspected touts escaped from the charge office before their statements were recorded in Mvurwi Mashonaland Central province.
A newly transferred cop from Guruve to Mvurwi is in serious trouble after he allowed the two touts to escape in a suspected corruption scandal Bulawayo24.com has learnt.
It is alleged that the two touts who were arrested under the operation "no to touts," requested to go to toilet and were given the go ahead by the investigating officer.
The suspects went to the toilet where they took the opportunity to escape.
The touts are still at large and efforts to get comment from the police were fruitless as they said it is an internal affair.
