Smugglers
arranged five donkeys to pull a car which they wanted to illegally take
into Zimbabwe across the crocodile infested Limpopo river.
According to reports, just 2 days before Christmas, the car was intercepted by South African Police being smuggled into Zimbabwe via the crocodile infested Limpopo River.
"Five donkeys had been arranged to pull the car across at Beitbridge, taking all that risk just to avoid undergoing Customs and Immigration formalities," sources said.
"The perpetrators fled into Zimbabwe and South African Police in the helicopter could not legally pursue them once they were on the Zimbabwean side."
