All Zimbabwe Republic Police commanders based at Manyame District have been instructed to arrest civilians seen wearing camouflage uniforms.

Police said there is an increase in number of unauthorized people who wear the uniforms.

"Against this background, commanders are urged to ensure that culprits who wear or sell camouflage uniforms are brought to book without fail" a memorandum dated December 26 state.

People found guilty of wearing or selling rick being jailed for a period "not exceeding one year or both such fine and imprisonment.

Many boutiques sell fancy camouflage clothes ranging from men's pants, jackets, ladies tops and caps, to name just a few.

Most of these items are imported and look undeniably irresistible while mostly affordable.

Camouflage may be an interesting choice of outfit but in Zimbabwe the law prohibits anyone who is not a member of the army from wearing camouflage or anything that resemble it.
