ZimPF member Obert Mundevere Ncubeā€Ž  has said Rhodesia was a wonderful country in terms of economy and governance though its laws were harsh especially against the black majority.

His remarks come in the work of the increasingly deteriorating economic situation in the country under the rule of President Robert Mugabe and his Zanu PF since 1980.

"Rhodesia was a wonderful country but the laws were harsh there because of trust between blacks and whites. Admittedly it had it's political problems, but those problems mostly originated with whites against blacks," Ncube said.

"A black man came in and we celebrated while he signed the death warrant of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of his black community. It was the name "independence" that left the country in the hands of thugs."

Ncube said Zimbabweans must  register and vote for their political parties of their choices.

"Mine is Zimbabwe People First. I bank on it, follow me and lets walk the last mile together, we are almost there," he said.

Zimbabwe is set to hold general elections in 2018.
