Kombi tout jailed 6 months

A 30-year-old Centenary kombi tout has been slapped with six effective months plus 15 days or US$50 fine for undermining the authority of Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) officers.
Guruve magistrate Antony Sanyatwi heard that on 27 December Wonder Masvingise was touting for passengers in Mvurwi Mashonaland Central province when police was conducting an operation 'NO Touting' during the festive season.
When two police intelligence constables approached Masvingise he was violent to the police and they had to use maximum force to arrest him.
The magistrate slapped him with six months jail term for touting and US$50 fine or 15 days behind bars for undermining the authority of police officers.
However, ten touts were arrested during the operation during the festive season
