A political commentator Tinashe Eric Muzamhindo‎  has said the recent outbursts by acting Harare town clerk Josephine to chase away vendors within 48 hour  from the City citing the issue of typhoid and other disease is a clear sign that Government has failed to deliver the promises they made in 2013.

He said instead of working tirelessly to improve the welfare of workers they are busy blaming each other on the typhoid saga.

"Bernard Manyenyeni is just on the Harare city council physically and nothing much, he can't do anything, and he is just good as not being there because he is a ceremonial Mayor. I once again reiterated that the constitution was a flawed process, the document was not done in a good way, the Vice President Emmerson Mangwanas and the Douglass Mwonzoras rushed with the document to the principals to sign yet it has a lot of in flaws," he said.

"The Mayor s position was supposed to be an executive role to make crucial decisions for the council. From what we are picking just now Manyenyeni s hands are tied because the council is being run by Zanu Pf mal-admin system."

He said when vendors are chased away from town the blame will go to MDC T councillors and leadership who fail to listen to the plight of the people.

"'(Local Government Minister) Saviour Kasukuwere is playing his politics very well and the game is so far smart for him. I've the following questions as for now
- When are we going to expect development in Zimbabwe when politics is at play?" he said.

"Do we need to play politics at the expense of people s lives? Is typhoid caused by un collected garbage and improper sewer system or selling food stuff in the CBD?  Do we need to know who brings development?  Is it the time for blame game when people s lives are under threat? Who cares about the vendors who are going to be chased away from the streets, and how are they going to survive?"
