Human rights and democracy activist Linda Masarira and others were back in court on Thursday for trumped up charges of insulting police officers.

Masarira  said the level of desperation of Zanu PF regime is pathetic.

"On the 5th of October 2016, we were forcibly taken by police officers who didn't tell us were they were taking us at Harare Gardens and neither did they tell us if it was an arrest and the charge. All they said was it's an instruction from above to take you with us. We inquired who "above" is and didn't get an answer," she said.

Yesterday they appeared before Rotten row magistrates court at 08:30. She was with her co-accused Patson Dzamara,  Makomborero Haruzivishe,  Ranga Nhende and Leverage Leverage Mugwara Masvondo.
