A social commentator Petros Joseph Dube‎ has said before people complain that the Zimbabwe Football Association excluded Ndeleles in the current national team they should dig deep and realise that even the teams in Matabeleland are composed of players from the Shona tribes.

"Well , before blaming the coach or the entire ZIFA for not selecting Ndebeles in the current national team we should dig deeper and deliberate on the root causes. I am fully convinced that the coach selected the best from the available list, even Matebeleland based teams like Highlanders are dominated by players from Mashonaland," Dube said.

"The coach is obviously innocent on this matter considering that there isn't anyone from that region who was capable of being part of the team but left out. This leads us to a number of questions."

He asked is they should then conclude that Ndebeles are naturally untalented or Zifa is sidelining them ?

"If they are apathetic, then who should be blamed ? Obviously no one can go around forcing them to actively participate in soccer. But then one may ask , why are they suddenly so uninterested ?" he said.

"Let us be factual and ponder on this issue objectively, impartial and without showing any prejudice. Let us bear in mind that we have the same challenge in other fields like Music, Arts and entertainment but for now let us focus on soccer. I will share my insights later , let me hear from you first. Sport should unite not divide people."
