Mthwakazi Republic Party has noted with shame the continually Zimbabwe's  implemention of grand plan policies against the people of Mthwakazi amid indications Hillside Teachers College was not giving newly qualified teachers who are from this region letters deployment.

MRP Secretary general Hloniphani Ncube said  all the government policies since its inception into the political arena has demonstrated hatred against the people of Mthwakazi.

"Our concerns arise from the discrimination portrayed by the education sector of Zimbabwe which have no kind programs particularly to the people of Mthwakazi. It has come to our attention that the students who completed their studies last year in particular at Hillside Teachers College, most of them are not given letters to look for employment because of debts this only affects locals more," he said.

"The million dollar question to this uncaring government is where do they expect the former students to get the money to clear their debts when they remain unemployed? Education is known to open doors to a good life and the rhetoric question is does this apply to the context of the Zimbabwe scenario?"

He said apart from that our sources further reported that, those who were also given letters a number of them are languishing at their homes because the public service commission have not deployed them citing that, there are no vacancies.

"However our research established that most of the students particularly in Matebeleland North and South have no teachers and if there is any most of them are from Mashonaland with little or no knowledge of the local language. To us this is purely the implementation of the 1979 grand plan which seeks to degrade the education system of Mthwakazi which have heavily depreciated since Mugabe took over," he said.

"Apart from that, our research have established that Hillside Teachers College turned away a number of local students with sufficient qualifications because they were Ndebeles who are supposed to be heavily discriminated according to the 1979 grand plan. It has also been reported to us that most of the students from Mashonaland who are enrolled bribe the administrators and the local students who are against this maladministration ends up giving up on their dreams of wishing to be teachers."

He said this is done purposely so that at the end of the day, they will deploy Shona teachers in Mthwakazi because they are the only ones who are given the first preferences.

"Last year's statistics and the recent one of Hillside indicates the discrimination of our local students by the institution. We therefore urge the ministries concerned to urgently deal with this matter which is a living curse in Mthwakazi before we take the matter to our hands. Our people are tired of ZANU PF stigma and discrimination of the people of Mthwakazi whilst the world watch and do nothing," he said.

"It's high time we unite and fight against this discrimination. We say they have urinated in our God given land for a long time and this madness has to stop. We urge our people to disassociate with Mashonaland political parties which are after totally destroying us."
