Man (18) hangs himself as pregnant girlfriend tests HIV+

A Mutare man (18) committed suicide by hanging himself after his pregnant girlfriend tested HIV positive.
Manicaland police spokesperson Inspector Leonard Chabata confirmed the incident.
He said the teenager was in a relationship with a certain woman from the same city who tested positive on Monday last week.
She later informed her boyfriend who, out of dejection, downed half a bottle of whisky.
He then hanged himself in his bedroom.
Insp Chabata said: "Committing suicide after testing HIV positive is not the solution.
"People should seek medication and advice from counsellors because it is not the end of the world."
