Two security guards in Forester Mvurwi Mashonaland Central were arrested for severely assaulting a villager in the compound yesterday (Sunday).
It is alleged the guards Shame Milanzi (31) and Vincent Phiri (30) severely thrashed Farai Chimbwana around 19:00hours for allegedly cutting down trees in a prohibited area.
This incident angered villagers of Forester C who teamed up vying for the blood of the guards hence police had to intervene.
"The guards are becoming too ruthless how can they beat someone for dead we no longer want them in our compound otherwise they will follow Chiruva who was axed yesterday (Saturday)," said one source.
Apparently one of the two guards is reported to have lost his front line teeth from a mob attack.
The suspects are expected to appear in court today in Guruve
