A 14-year-old Shurugwi girl has been sentenced to two years in prison for raping her younger brother who is 6 years old..

According to court documents the Form Two pupil took the complainant to her bed and removed all his clothes and told him they were going to have sex.
She then took off clothes and asked the brother to sleep facing upwards and raped him once.
In court she was sentenced to two years' imprisonment, which was wholly suspended on condition that she does not commit a similar offence.
