A political commentator Vince Musewe has challenge the old men and women in the ZimPF to step down for the new blood following the firing and counter firing of members in the party.

"Without a vision people perish. If there is anything we must learn from ZimPF expulsions and counter expulsions it is that a common past does not necessarily result in common values and a common vision. Without an inclusive and compelling vision no political party can survive the personal ambitions of its individual members," Musewe said.

"Personally I think the old men and women should step down and create space for new blood. It is difficult to adapt new behaviours when your whole life is mired with the Zanu PF brand. Letting go is one of the most difficult challenges to human beings. Unfortunately any problems within opposition parties strengthen Zanu PF's hand."

He said until we have a compelling common and inclusive vision they will continue to have unnecessary divisions not because they don't want the same future but because of selfish personal political ambition.

"This of course also applies to the various coalitions we are seeing. They are not built on a common vision but political expediency and cannot therefore be sustainable," he said.
