Chivi woman kills daughter over boyfriend

A woman from Chinjiwa Village under Headman Masunda in Chivi is facing murder charges after she allegedly assaulted and killed her daughter over a boyfriend.
Nyaradzo Musiiwa (62) now faces murder charges following the death of Ramwi Musiiwa. The alleged boyfriend Chipisa Tavonga (28) is of the same village.
The case was reported under case number RRB Number 2802129 at Chivi ZRP. Allegations are that on January 2, 2017 at 11am Nyaradzo left for Zion Church in the neighbourhood and left Ramwii with instructions that she should follow later.
Ramwi did not go to church and instead she paid her boyfriend a visit. Nyaradzo returned home and found Ramwi not at home and was on enquiry told by her daughter in-law Diana Marandure (23) that the deceased had left at around 11am for church service.
Ramwi allegedly arrived home 20 minutes later and disclosed that she had spent the day with her boyfriend in the bushes. Nyaradzo got angry and assaulted her with a stick until she fell unconscious.
Efforts to pour water on her proved fruitless and she died on the spot.
