Man evicts lover

A STONERIDGE woman has accused her ex-lover of evicting her from her property to pave way for his new girlfriend.

Lorraine Kazunga alleged that Daniel Muchenje gets violent with her whenever she tries to make him leave her house.

She sought for a protection order against him.

Kazunga told magistrate Sharon Rakafa that Muchenje was over protective during their relationship and it was one of the reasons she ended things between them.

"He chased me away from my own house and he is staying there with another woman.

"At the moment I am staying with my sister yet I have a house.

"He gets violent with me whenever I go to the house to talk to him. I am really hurt because I took care of him and his children but now he is treating me badly.

"He assaults and insults me. There is no way I can get back with him because he is too protective," said Kazunga.

Muchenje was not present to defend himself.

Magistrate Rakafa, however, ordered him to refrain from physically and verbally abusing Kazunga.
