Drug dealer nabbed

A 24-year-old drug peddler in Mvurwi Mashonaland Central province was arrested for selling cannabis (mbanje) in a night club yesterday.

Sources familiar with the incident allege Bradwell Kamonga of Elsnora farm in Mvurwi was selling his much needed cannabis which is very popular among drug addicts called "Malawian weed."

Criminal investigations officers from Mvurwi station pounced on him but they were a bit late as he is reported to had sold most of the gear and was only left with a twist which he had kept for himself.

However, Kamonga was fined at the police station and later set free.

Mvurwi police is trying hard to curb drug peddling but to no avail, though some peddlers label them as corrupt.
