MRP is not destroying Gukurahundi evidence by engaging in reburials

Mthwakazi Republic Party has rubbished the claims that it is aimed at destroying Gukurahundi evidence by engaging in reburials of recovered human remains.

Party secretary general Hloniphani Ncube said anti-reburials individuals are clueless and ideologically idiotic the assertion that the reburials program initiated by Mthwakazi Republic Party seeks to destroy the evidence of the Gukurahundi genocide, which was undertaken three decades ago are misleading and lacks sight of issues of humanity and thorough research and understanding of the philosophy of the party and Mthwakazi as a whole.

"The initiative by Mthwakazi Republic Party to initiate the reburials program is not a social media program in stead it is a community supported initiative. We feel as a party it is better to bury our people properly who have been lying ugly on ground of which some of their bones have been the meat of the dogs for more than three decades with politicians making the matter matter a political advertising method. To set the record and facts straight, MRP do not bury unknown individuals without authorization," he said.

"The first case we burried an unidentified person was in Matobo and the matter was cleared by community leaders inclusive of the local chief and surrounding villagers. Hence everything we do we undertake it with communities. The problem with brief case parties is that, they argue on social media and make their assumptions on social media somewhere outside Mthwakazi with no test of the hardship experienced by people and a livelihood where by you survive surrounded by bones of people lying ugly."

He said the Gukurahundi matter has evidence and they also as a party photocopy and file the death certificate of such victims because the cause of their death would be mentioned.

"We have the record of all victims and families have given us access to such information. Mthwakazi Republic Party reburials have been done with families most of them. We only assist the people with the processes of documentation and funding the burials. In most of the cases the relatives of the victims apply for such processes to be carried out and we have never just seen the bones and bury them," he said.

"We Bury known people reported by their families because gukurahundi was done in front of people and most of the victims are aware of the places where their loved ones were dumped. I urge the critics of the program to be factual and visible to the local people, not making your noise in a computer in South Africa and UK, unless if they are ZANU PF agents on a mission. Mthwakazi Republic Party is yet to do massive reburials so that our people would be afforded decent rest rather than leaving their bones idly in bushes for dogs. I doubt on whether those critics are real or its just mere noise making seeking unnecessary attention and marketing their social media parties which in most of the parties consists of not more than two individuals."

He said those against such a dignified process go to hell.

We will bury our people whenever we are approached by real victims not social media fools with nothing to do for the people. Mthwakazi Republic Party has no time for attention seekers instead we are after the freedom of our people and that process starts now. Those people whom we have buried their loved ones have had the previlege to apply for the death certificates of their loved ones and are able to move on with their lives," he said.

"They are able to get birth certificates for the victimised children. To the critics do you think we should compromise the livelihood of children for your so called evidence which it has took three decades for you to seek if you are so concerned about it. Their death certificates and we'll prepared graves are a much needed evidence in our view. We have never buried mass graves. Once again MRP have no time for attention seekers, we are driven by the freedom of our people in our life time. Our people have waited for a long time for dogs who are barking running away from the monster. MRP is speaking and acting in the presence of the monster and has better understanding of underlying community situations."
