The Movement for Democratic Change (MDC T) president Morgan Richard Tsvangirai met opinion leaders in Mvurwi and encouraged them to vote in the much anticipated 2018 election.
Speaking in Mbizi suburb Mvurwi Mashonaland Central Tsvangirai said Mugabe's time was up and this election is a bit different since biometric voting system does not have many hustles.
He bemoaned use of violence and intimidation in farms and encouraged village heads not to be used.
"We should all vote in 2018 and remove old Mugabe it is time up for the old man close to 40 years of poverty."
"The issue of intimidation is really a cause of concern in farms we hear village heads you are being used for US$25 which sometimes do not come out.
"How can you sell your lives for a cup of rice, sure sure rice risingaibve iro riye ndoraungatengesera nyika iroro," he said.
Many people spoke of the grinding poverty and were eager to go and vote lamenting that 2018 was too far for them.
However, Tsvangirai promised to change a lot of systems which he said were manipulated by the ruling party.
"We need to win first in order to change many systems that are being manipulated for example the land distribution.
Mugabe owns 15 farms while his wife also owns her own farms that is not proper land should be given to those who are capable not to just boast saying this whole piece of land is mine.
The media has to be changed too we cannot have ZBC only broadcasting ZANU PF rallies day and night," said Tsvangirai.
Tsvangirai winds up his Mashonaland Central tour tomorrow with an address to Bindura University and party's provincial assembly in provincial capital Bindura.
