Hwange Colliery sues company over $179, 288, 49 debt

Hwange Colliery Company has sued a company called Pepper Grinder Trading for a debt of over $170 000 in respect of goods sold and delivered at specific instance and request of the defendant for the period December 5 2013 to November 21 2016
Hwange colliery filed summons at the Bulawayo High Court demanding the payment of $179 288, 49 from the owing company.
“The plaintiff’s claim against defendant is for payment in the sum of $179 288, 49 in respect of goods sold and delivered at specific instance and request of the defendant for the period December 5 2013 to November 21 2016,†reads the summons.
“Interest at a prescribed rate from date of issue of summons to date of full payment. Cost of suit.â€
Pepper Grinder was given ten days to respond to the summons and is yet to do so.
