05 Mar 2017 at 19:09hrs | Views
Zanu-PF legislator for Harare East Terrence Mukupe who was mentioned in the fuel scam involving four tankers that entered the country with 140 000 litres of diesel purportedly in transit to the Democratic Republic of Congo, whose contents were emptied in Chitungwiza and replaced with water, was involved in some mishap.
Mukupe mentioned something on his twitter and facebook wall which indicates that he was involved in a matter of life and death. It is not clear as to what transpired. Mukupe was in Johannesburg South Africa in the last few days and he indicated on facebook that his car had a breakdown on his way back to Zimbabwe. It is not clear yet as to what befell the 'honourable' MP.
Mukupe wrote, "The devil is a liar, I will only die when God says it's time!!! Back to sender I'm alive!!!"
It is not clear as to which Zanu-PF faction Mukupe belongs to.
Sad day for me. I'm by the roadside in the middle of nowhere on my way back to Zim and my car has packed up. I've missed the one day I was so looking forward to, the dedication service of my daughter, Maita Kate Mukupe. I do however take comfort and thank God that my family is at church right now partaking in the service.
