Zanu PF has reportedly ordered its officials to record names and identity particulars of villagers in the Nyanga District and no clue has been given for what reason that was being done.

This was revealed by Heal Zimbabwe Trust in its report.

"On the 18th of February 2017 at Ruwange growth point, Rose Chikutirwe, a Youth officer moved around Ruwange growth point taking down names of residents and their identity card numbers," said the trust.

"When asked what she wanted to use the information for, she said she had been given a directive to collect the information by the Zanu PF leadership in the area. Chikutirwe also said the information was going to be used by Zanu PF to influence the polling station delimitation process. After finishing the exercise, Chikutirwe was seen proceeding to the Zanu PF offices at the Business Centre."

The trust said in 2008, Chikutirwe was among people who perpetrated violence against opposition party members in the area.
