Man in trouble over theft of vehicle

A man from Mbizo in Kwekwe is in trouble for allegedly stealing the car he had hired.
Tinozivashe Tavaraisa (34) was not asked to plead to theft of vehicle when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Mkhwananzi and was ordered to pay $200 bail before being remanded to March 10.
It is alleged that on July 5 2014 the complainant Crispen Manyise of Cowdray Park in Bulawayo entered into an agreement with the accused to hire his vehicle. They agreed that accused will pay $450 on monthly basis. The accused paid $900 for the month of July and August 2014. He later after paying requested for the registration book from the complainant which he gave him.
He later tried to steal the car using the book and the cart owner discovered the scam and made a report to the police leading to his arrest.
