Grace Mugabe's aunt laid to rest

First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe's aunt Gogo Phoebie Marufu who died on Monday has been laid to rest at the Marufu homestead in Chikomba.

Thousands of people including the First Lady Dr Grace Mugabe converged at the Marufu homestead for the burial of Gogo Marufu (70) who was the wife of the young brother to Amai Mugabe's father.

Dr Mugabe described her aunt as a loving person who was a pillar of strength and a true family hero.

Her brother Reverend Whycliff Masama described his sister as a person who was loving and a family advisor.

Chief of the area Chief Senator Musarurwa has accorded headman ship status to the Muto clan which the First Lady comes from in honour of her philanthropic work.

Gogo Marufu is survived by her husband Mr Nhau Marufu, one child, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
