MDC-T youth condemns soldiers attack on MSU students

The MDC-T youth has condemned the attack committed by suspected soldiers on Midlands State University Students which left 13 students injuries over the weekend.
MDC T National Youth Assembly Commander Happymore Chidziva said the military ambush and bludgeoning of Midlands state university students was mutinous
"Zimbabwe National Army is a sacrosanct symbol of nationhood and the pride of the nation. It is an institution which comprises of decorated individuals who sacrificed their lives for the defence of our sacred sovereignty, our constitution and the people of Zimbabwe," he said.
"In short, the conduct of the military should be discipline and exemplary. Their main role is to safeguard the territorial integrity of our country and keeping the people of Zimbabwe safe from harm. But when such an institution behaves like the ISis and Boko Haram of the sad part of this world, everyone should be worried."
He said in an unprecedented and disturbing onslaught yesterday,members of the Zimbabwe national army, ambushed students with a completely filled mini bus armed with devastating pool sticks.
"They savagely and indiscriminately started beating anyone in front of them across the campus. Many students were hospitalized and admitted having suffered head injuries, broken legs and elbows. The college clinic is completely overwhelmed as it has no capacity to handle such an unprecedented number of casualties," he said.
"It is believed that the military onslaught was an act of revenge on students. Before the attack, it is reported that some of the students had a confrontation with one of the military members, who then called for reinforcement to go and blockade and siege the university campus. I call upon the military commanders to condemn and act against such terrorism and mutinous conduct by the suppose to be discipline members of the military. At the same time , justice should take it's course, police should arrest these perpetrators of violence."
