MDC-T targets 'virgins' to vote for Tsvangirai in 2018

The Movement for Democratic Change MDC-T began their youth recruitment dubbed "Bereka Mwana Tiende" in Guruve district ward 6 in Mashonaland Central on Saturday.
The deputy youth national secretary general Chamunorwa Madya told Bulawayo24.com that the program was targeting virgin voters between the age of 17 to 35 ahead of the much anticipated 2018 general election.
"We have started our recruitment in Guruve having noticed that youths between the ages of 18-35 were legging behind in voting.
"In the programme dubbed Bereka Mwana we are hoping to convince youths that have not voted before to actively participate in 2018 election," said Madya
The exercise was conducted by youths who were put into groups of six in visiting door to door houses by the youth commander for Mashonaland Central Tonderai Samhu.
Meanwhile, Mashonaland Central is a strong hold of ZANU PF and National People's Party (NPP) hence MDC T has a mountain to climb in campaigning.
The Bereka Mwana Tiende exercise is set to be taken to Mashonaland Central Bindura on Sunday.
