Tremors have hit Zimbabwe

A magnitude 6.5 tremor has hit Botswana - with the effects felt in Johannesburg, Pretoria, North West and Zimbabwe on Monday evening.

According the US Geological Survey, an earthquake was registered in Moijabana north west of Gaborone at 19:40.

An earth tremor which hit parts of Gauteng and the North West on Monday morning was recorded at 4.6 magnitude. It originated near a gold mining area in Klerksdorp, in the North West.
