Govt receive 3000 bicycles for rural health workers

Government of Zimbabwe has received 3000 bicycles for Village Health Workers at Beatrice District Hospital, Beatrice, time 0900.
Minister of State for Mashonaland East, Retired Brigadier General, Ambrose Mutinhiri; Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health and Child Care, Dr. Gerald Gwinji, UNICEF Representative, Dr. Mohamed Ayoya were present at the ceremony.
With funding from the German Natcom, UNICEF procured 3000 bicycles to scale up integrated maternal, neonatal and child health care at primary health facilities and community level in Zimbabwe.
This contribution is under the theme improving maternal, newborn and child health in rural communities in Zimbabwe.
