The Global Shapers Community (GSC) is a network of city-based Hubs developed and led by young leaders between 20 and 30 years old who want to develop their leadership potential towards serving society.
To that end, Hubs undertake local projects to improve their communities. The Global Shapers Community is one of several multi-stakeholder communities at the World Economic Forum. Other communities include the Young Global Leaders, the Global Agenda Councils, and the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship.
The purpose of the conversation on Employability, Entrepreneurship and the Economy is to bridge the gap between the current generation of Zimbabwean graduates and entrepreneurs and the employers and business investors who interact with young people. Speakers will engage in a dialogue in the form of a panel discussion and Q&A to inspire and ignite Bulawayo's young people's understanding of the demands of today's labour market.
Speakers include leaders that have shaped Zimbabwe and Africa's past and present including government officials, artists, civil society leaders, academics, entrepreneurs, business executives and CEOs.
They will share their views and experiences and explore how Zimbabwe's youth can survive and emerge as successful entrepreneurs and an efficient labour force in a unique economy such as Zimbabwe's.
