Man kills drinking mate over Dragon drink

A man from Emakhandeni in Bulawayo is in trouble after he attacked a drinking mate causing his death the following their dispute of a Dragon drink.
Mncedisi Nkala (1) has not been asked to plead to murder when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tinashe Tashaya. The magistrate remanded him in custody to April 19.
The court heard that on December 30 2016 at 6pm Nkala, Mgcini Ncube and Bhekithemba Musi were drinking beer together at Siphilanzima Bar in Douglas dale. Mgcini lastly lay down in the beer hall holding a dragon can with diluted whisky.
A quarrel ensued when Nkala tried to take the dragon cane from Mgcini and the beer got spilled over Mgcini's body since he was refusing with the cane. Mgcini became angry advanced to fight Nkala again. Nkala took a pool stick and used it to strike Mgcini on the head and he fell down and became unconscious.
Mgcini was taken to United Bulawayo Hospitals the following day after he became unable to talk. Mgcini died on admission on January 4 2017 and a report made to the police led to Nkala's arrest.
