A team of DNA experts and pathologists has been dispatched to the scene of the bus accident that injured 43 people with 17 unaccounted for.
National police spokesperson Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba said the team will be working to identify the charred remains of passengers who were burnt beyond recognition.
While the police are yet to confirm the exact number of people who died in the accident, fears are that all the 17 passengers who are still unaccounted for, could have died in the inferno.
By 2:00pm there was still too much heat emanating from the bus shell, hindering the police from removing the remains of the deceased.
