The Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) is courting Lufthansa German Airlines so that it resumes air services between Frankfurt and Harare.
This was revealed by CAAZ Director of Airports Tawanda Gusha who led a delegation that attended the Airports Council Annual Conference and General Assembly in Livingstone, Zambia.
The conference was attended by representatives of airports authorities, travel agents and international airlines.
Lufthansa which plied the Frankfurt-Harare route, pulled out in 2008 citing viability challenges due to the hyper inflation which was being experienced in the country.
The Airports Council Conference of the African chapter focused on improving numbers of people travelling to African countries and training of employees on the development of airports and commercial activities.
