Kombi crashes as driver falls asleep on the wheel

A Harare bound commuter omnibus belonging to Madam Boss Company veered off the road in the early hours of today at Mutsigwa turn off along Muzarabani-Harare highway.

Eye witnesses allege the kombi driver fell asleep on the wheel and veered off the road before it landed sideways.

"The driver who came from Muzarabani slept and failed to control the kombi resulting in the accident," said the source

There were minor injuries recorded and the injured received treatment at Mvurwi hospital.

Mvurwi traffic police were quick to attend the accident even though there are well-known for delays, always complaining of lack of transport.
