Construction work of a multi-million dollar Cowdray Park shopping complex in Bulawayo is set to begin following a ground breaking ceremony officiated by Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa this Sunday afternoon.

Breaking the ground, Mnangagwa said government will continue to put in place legislative framework that seeks to ease the way of doing business in the country.

The groundbreaking ceremony was witnessed by scores of people, among them business people, officials from Sai Investment, a company behind the US$12 million dollar complex, and residents of Cowdray Park and surrounding suburbs.

Earlier, Mnangagwa attended a mass at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, which coincided with Palm Sunday.

He urged the church to assist the government by preaching the gospel of peace for the nation to be governable.

Mnangagwa handed over a cheque of US$5000 from Sai Investment while he personally donated US$1000 for the refurbishment of the hall at the church which was destroyed by fire caused by an electrical fault.

Mnangagwa is later expected to handover to vulnerable people goods worth over US$15 000 which were sourced by Sai Investment.
