Notorious Harare cop arrested for harassing civilians

A notorious Harare traffic Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) officer was arrested on Easter Saturday for several accounts of misconduct in Mvurwi Mashonaland Central province.
Sources familiar with the development allege Blossom Kanengoni (31) from Harare Central traffic police was in the habit of assaulting, harassing villagers and getting drunk in uniform at Musonedi farm prompting Mvurwi police to set a trap on him.
"The notorious cop is under police detention at Mvurwi, he has been harassing people for quit a long time and there was an outcry in Musonedi since he brought untold suffering among villagers with his conduct," said the source.
Surprisingly after his arrest no complainant has visited Mvurwi police to file a report.
Unconfirmed reports say he will be slapped with fine at station level before his release; cases of unethical behaviour of police in Guruve district are mushrooming.
