A young Mvurwi businessman who is currently on remand at Guruve prison for unlawful entry and theft charges at Golly's wholesale in Mvurwi is battling for life at Parirenyatwa hospital.
Sources familiar with the case allege Simbarashe Zema (21) who is accused of two unlawful entry and theft charges is seriously ill and was referred to Parirenyatwa hospital from Guruve hospital on Monday.
Zema's relatives suspect witchcraft in his sickness hence they wanted to take him to witch doctors which the prison vehemently denied.
"We suspect his sickness has to do with witchcraft as you know we are Africans his problem cannot be treated medically but they turned down our request," said a relative who spoke in confidentiality
Meanwhile, Zema is set to appear before Guruve magistrate courts on 24 April for full trial and he is being represented by Nancy Mabhoyi of Mabhoyi and Associates legal practitioner.
